Overview

Designer Managers – Water. At Beca, we believe infrastructure should serve communities and the environment. As a Design Manager in our Water team, you will lead the design of critical water infrastructure that supports sustainable growth across New Zealand and Australia.

As a Design Manager, you will lead multi-discipline design teams and take full ownership of design decisions across a diverse range of water infrastructure projects. Your role will be central to ensuring that high-quality design outputs are delivered on time and within budget, while aligning with client expectations and project goals.

You will be responsible for managing engineering governance processes, including design reviews, change management, requests for information, and verification and validation activities. Collaboration will be key, as you work closely with leaders across New Zealand, Australia, and Southeast Asia to deliver integrated and innovative solutions. Additionally, you will play a vital role in mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Chartered status (CPEng) in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with trenchless or low-disruption construction methods is an advantage.
