Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role

This is a critical executive leadership role responsible for the successful establishment and operation of the Social Investment Fund, and the development of fit-for-purpose investment and commissioning models that prioritise outcomes-based partnerships.

• You’ll lead a high-performing group focused on:
• Investment strategy, fund portfolio management, and resource allocation
• Commissioning lifecycle design, procurement frameworks, and provider relationships
• Building commissioning capability and fostering community-led innovation
• Influencing system-wide funding and contracting transformation
• Forming enduring partnerships with iwi, Māori, philanthropic partners, and the social sector

You'll also play a key role in setting SIA’s overall strategic direction, working closely with the Chief Executive, ELT, and sector leaders.

• Extensive experience of localised commissioning models, most likely to have been gained overseas.
• Extensive experience in leveraging data for social investment and proven expertise in data-focused social investment.
• Strong investment management experience is a prerequisite.
• Experience in deploying and managing cloud technology.
• Demonstrable experience establishing investment and commissioning functions from scratch.
• Demonstrable relationships with social service providers and Iwi across New Zealand

Utu ā-tau | Salary

Band 21: Min $196,690 – Midpoint $ 231,400 – Max $277,680 based on relevant skills and professional experience.
