Aotearoa Infinite Academy, New Zealand's first online charter school, is creating a Department Lead for Creative Arts to guide Year 9–13 across visual arts, music, drama, dance and design. This is a senior leadership role in a growing online learning community.

You'll design innovative online courses, lead a teaching team, oversee assessment and resourcing, and showcase student work online and in person, while connecting learning to NCEA and creative industries.

To bring our goals for our learners to life, we're creating new leadership roles, including a Department Lead for Creative Arts. You'll reimagine how students create, perform, collaborate and share their work in an online school.

What you'll lead:

• Department vision. Set the direction for the creative arts from Year 9 to Year 13, across visual arts, music, drama, dance and design as relevant.
• Course design. Lead innovative online courses that use digital studios, recording, virtual exhibitions and live performance.
• Showcasing student work. Create opportunities for students to share their work with whānau and the community, online and in person.
• Pathways. Connect learning to NCEA, Scholarship, tertiary study and creative industries.
• Teaching team. Lead, coach and appraise the teachers in your department, and grow a culture of creativity and experimentation.
• Assessment and achievement. Oversee assessment, moderation and achievement data, including portfolio and performance assessment online.
• Resourcing. Manage the department budget, creative software and equipment.
