Job description
Dental Technician / Dental Laboratory Assistant

TCB Dentures is looking for an experienced Dental Technician/ Dental laboratory assistant to join our team, we are located at New Plymouth, Taranaki.

Mon - Thu 8am - 4:30pm

Friday 8am - 4pm

Minimum of 30 hours per week.

Maximum of 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with a diverse range of people
  • Fabricating custom impression trays
  • Articulating models and transferring records as needed
  • Assist in fabrication of all removable oral prosthesis (set-up, polish & finish)
  • CAD/CAM prosthesis/appliance design and manufacture
  • Crafting thermoformed bases and appliances
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment
  • Ensuring the sterilisation and prevention of cross-infection of equipment
  • Applying fundamental principles and practices for infection prevention and control
  • Maintaining workplace health and safety standards
  • Assisting in receiving and preparing patients
Qualifications
  • Hold a relevant qualification in dental technology
  • OR
  • Prefer candidates with a minimum of three years of work experience in the industry
  • AND
  • Willing to learn and adapt to new and different ways of work if necessary
