About The Role

We are seeking an experienced (minimum 12 months post graduate experience) Dental/Oral Health Therapist with a current Dental Council NZ registration for a permanent part-time position working 32 hours per week. However, we will also consider a new graduate Oral Health Therapist or suitably qualified overseas candidate with current Dental Council NZ registration for this position.

You will work as a member of a team on either mobile units or in a fixed site clinic in the Eastern Bay of Plenty region.

Our patient group in the Eastern Bay of Plenty is 0 to 18 years of age. Some fully funded travel away from home up to 4 nights per week from 1 to 5 weeks may be offered when the service is working in remote locations.

About You

  • Current registration with Dental Council NZ
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate 2025/26
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to culturally safe practices
  • Participate and comply with health and safety in the workplace
  • Hold a minimum of a restricted NZ Drivers licence

The service offers ongoing professional development for team members and appropriate external learning opportunities by application. The Annual Practicing Certificate will be reimbursed, and a professional association membership fee is paid annually.
