A community health service in Northland seeks a part-time Dental Assistant to support oral health professionals. Responsibilities include assisting during dental procedures, managing records, and engaging in prevention programmes. Ideal candidates are self-motivated with effective communication skills and a New Zealand driver's license. Training will be provided, and applications are open until 15 October 2025.

As a Dental Assistant, you will provide support to the oral health / dental therapist, dentists and dental specialists in efficient and effective day to day management of the clinic and patient group. This role will work across community-based settings in the Northland Region.

Our Oral Health Service is a community-based dental service for children under 18 years across the Northland Region. We provide comprehensive oral health care through School, Adolescent, Community and Hospital Dental Services.

As a Dental Assistant, you will need be self-motivated and can communicate effectively with people of varying cultural backgrounds in a sensitive manner.
Previous experience in Administration, dental, or the health sector is desirable, however not essential to apply. Training for this role will be provided.
