Lumino Chartwell and Lumino Garden Place in Hamilton are hiring a compassionate, reliable Dental Assistant to support clinicians across both locations. You’ll provide high‑quality patient care and help create a welcoming experience for every patient.

The roster covers 72 hours per fortnight, with 2 days each week at Garden Place and 2–3 days at Chartwell. The role rewards teamwork, strong communication, infection control, and the chance to grow with New Zealand’s leading dental brand.

Qualifications

Job Description

Join our friendly teams at Lumino Chartwell and Lumino Garden Place! We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and motivated Dental Assistant to become an integral part of our Hamilton practices.

This is a varied role where you’ll work across both locations, supporting our clinicians while helping deliver an exceptional patient experience. Approximately 2 days each week will be spent at Lumino Garden Place, with the remaining 2 to 3 days rostered at Lumino Chartwell, offering variety and the opportunity to work with multiple clinicians and teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians during a wide range of dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain the highest standards of infection control
• Sterilise instruments and ensure equipment is ready for use
• Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment notes
• Monitor and replenish clinical supplies
• Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice
• Deliver a positive and welcoming experience for every patient

Hours

This role operates on a fortnightly roster totaling 72 hours per fortnight (excluding unpaid breaks):

Week One (39 hours)

• Monday: 7:30am - 5:30pm
• Tuesday: 7:30am - 5:30pm
• Wednesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
• Thursday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
• Friday: 8:30am - 3:00pm

Week Two (33 hours)

• Monday: 7:30am - 5:30pm
• Tuesday: 7:30am - 5:30pm
• Wednesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
• Thursday: 8:30am - 4:30pm

Qualifications

• Valid New Zealand work rights
• Applicants should be based in Hamilton or the surrounding area and able to comfortably commute between both Lumino Chartwell and Lumino Garden Place as required by the roster
• A reliable and flexible approach to working across multiple practice locations
