Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking two delivery drivers to service the Gisborne district. You will manage daily routes, load and unload goods, and interact with customers to ensure timely deliveries.

This role runs 7 days a week with start times between 5:00am and 6:00pm. A clean Class 1 license is required; training is provided if you have limited experience, with a focus on health and safety.

Good presentation, reliability and the ability to lift heavy parcels are essential.

Qualifications

• Clean Class 1 license or equivalent.
• 0–6 months’ work experience; training provided if no experience.
• Professional and approachable manner.
• Health and safety-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily delivery route.
• Load and unload stock on trucks or vans.
• Interact with customers.
• Stocktake and order new supplies.
• Train new staff as required and work with staff.
• Clean vans and keep them to required standards.
• Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and undertake maintenance tasks as required.

The successful applicant will be responsible for all of their own scheduling and delivery times and will have to be able to complete deliveries and associated paperwork on time to keep business running smoothly.

This is a Monday to Sunday role with start times between 5:00am and 6:00pm

You will be required to:

plan daily delivery route

load and unload stock on trucks or vans

interact with customers

Stocktake and order new supplies

Train new staff as required and work with staff

Clean vans and keep them to required standards.

Ensure the vehicles are road worthy and undertake the necessary tasks to keep them road worthy as required

You will have:

• A clean class 1 license or equivalent
• 0-6 months’ work experience - If no experience then, training will be provided.
• Professional and approachable manner
• Health and safety-focused attitude
• Good personal presentation
• Able to lift & deliver heavy weight packages and parcels
