Ko Taku Reo – Deaf Education New Zealand is seeking an engaging and innovative teacher to work with Deaf and hard-of-hearing students across mainstream and specialist settings in Northland. The role is permanent and 0.8FTE, covering Moerewa, Kerikeri, Oruaiti and Pakaraka, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with whānau and school staff.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified Teacher of the Deaf or NZ registered teacher.
• Current, clean drivers' licence.
• Willingness to develop NZSL and listening/speaking practices for DHH learners.
• Experience with early levels of the New Zealand Curriculum.

Aufgaben

• Teach in mainstream and specialist schools to support DHH students, whānau, and school staff.
• Collaborate with teams to plan and deliver inclusive, accessible education.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with families to support student participation and outcomes.
• Cover caseload across Moerewa, Kerikeri, Oruaiti, and Pakaraka.
