Job summary

Westpac New Zealand is seeking a Senior Manager Business Management to lead the DDAI governance, planning and reporting cycles. You will translate strategic priorities into precise plans, provide trusted advice to the Chief DDAI Officer and Leadership Team, and ensure disciplined execution across the function.

You’ll drive cross‑functional initiatives, develop executive papers, manage performance insights and dependencies, and partner with finance, people, risk and operations to enable the DDAI

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in business management, governance or strategy across a large organisation.
  • Strong strategic and commercial acumen with ability to translate strategy into action.
  • Excellent written communication for executive and board papers.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and competing demands with stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the integrated business management rhythm across DDAI, including governance, planning, reporting, prioritisation and follow-through
  • Acting as a central conduit between the Chief DDAIP Officer, Leadership Team, business partners and the wider DDAIP team
  • Coordinating executive and governance forums, forward plans, decision records and action tracking in partnership with the Executive Assistant
  • Developing high-quality executive, Board and governance papers that provide clear analysis, context and recommendations
  • Providing an integrated view of business performance, priorities, risks, issues and dependencies
  • Driving cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the Chief DDAIP Officer and Leadership Team
  • Supporting strategic planning, budgeting, workforce processes, engagement planning and enterprise reporting
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify ways of working, improve effectiveness and strengthen accountability.
