Job summary

Carrfields NZ is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for its Ashburton operation. This hands-on role focuses on operating and optimising highly automated production equipment to meet quality and production targets.

You will assist with machine setups, changeovers, and tooling changes while monitoring performance and product quality. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn in a dynamic plastics manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Detail-oriented with quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine setups and product changeovers.
• Monitor machine performance and product quality.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and optimise parameters.
• Support uptime and minimise downtime; engage with automation projects.
