Job summary

Carrfields Nz in Ashburton is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join a growing plastics manufacturing operation. You will work with highly automated production equipment, assisting with machine setups, product changeovers, monitoring quality, and solving process issues to meet customer demand.

We're looking for candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude, good problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to manage changing priorities and work as part of a team
• A willingness to learn specialised manufacturing processes

Responsibilities

• Assisting with machine setups and product changeovers
• Changing moulds and tooling on production equipment
• Monitoring machine performance and product quality
• Troubleshooting process and equipment issues
• Making machine and process adjustments to improve efficiency
• Supporting production uptime and minimising downtime
• Assisting with new technology and automation projects
