Job summary

Randstad is recruiting a Data Solutions Architect to drive a high-visibility data modernization program using Snowflake-on-AWS. You will design target-state architectures across raw, curated, and business layers and lead migration of legacy pipelines to the cloud.

The role requires strong experience in data governance, RBAC security, FinOps, and data modeling in regulated environments, with a hybrid working arrangement and a competitive remuneration package.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data architecture experience with Snowflake and AWS data services.
• Background in data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and lakehouse architectures.
• Experience migrating legacy pipelines to cloud in regulated sectors such as banking/finance.
• Knowledge of data governance, RBAC, encryption, masking, and FinOps.

Responsibilities

• Designing target-state data architectures across raw, curated, and business-consumption layers using Snowflake and AWS data services.
• Migrating end-to-end migration patterns for legacy on-premises pipelines and workloads to the cloud.
• Governing data modeling standards, metadata, lineage, RBAC security, and privacy controls for banking environments.
• Optimizing Snowflake FinOps and performance engineering rules, including warehouse sizing and query optimization.
• Collaborating with engineering, security, and managed-services teams through design reviews and execution.

The Role

As a Data Solution Architect, you will drive a high-visibility data modernization program, translating high-level data flow architectures into secure, scalable, and governed Snowflake-on-AWS solutions. This includes:

• Designing: Target-state data architectures across raw, curated, and business-consumption layers using Snowflake and AWS data services.
• Migrating: Architecting end-to-end migration patterns for legacy on-premises pipelines and workloads to the cloud.
• Govern: Defining enterprise data modeling standards, metadata, lineage, RBAC security, and privacy controls for banking environments.
• Optimizing: Establishing Snowflake FinOps and performance engineering rules, including warehouse sizing and query optimization.
• Collaborating: Leading technical design reviews and guiding engineering, security, and managed-services teams through execution.

Key Requirements

• Proven hands-on data architecture experience with Snowflake (Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, warehouses) and AWS data services.
• Strong background in data warehousing, dimensional modeling, lakehouse architectures, and ELT pipelines.
• Experience designing legacy-to-cloud migrations within banking, financial services, or highly regulated environments.
• Deep knowledge of data governance, security controls (RBAC, encryption, masking), and FinOps cost optimization.
• Relevant certifications in Snowflake or AWS architecture are strongly preferred.
