Job summary

Parrot Analytics in Auckland is seeking a Data Scientist to power the Data Intelligence behind our Insights and Partnerships teams. You will tackle questions that go beyond SQL queries and help translate signals into strategic decisions for entertainment clients.

From Auckland, you will build Python-first workflows, analyse attention and audiences, map networks, and collaborate to tell clear, data-driven stories that inform commercial choices while advancing research methods and AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields.
• Strong Python and SQL; hands-on experience with APIs, data wrangling, statistical analysis and end-to-end projects.
• Experience with NLP, graph analysis and ML; AWS or Redshift is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build Python-first intelligence workflows: source, collect, clean and analyse digital signals from APIs and social platforms.
• Analyse attention, demand and audiences; develop audience profiles and brand affinities.
• Map audience and piracy networks using graph/network analysis.
• Decode conversations by combining social listening with quantitative research and CC guidelines.
• Turn findings into decisions with cross-team collaboration and clear, commercially relevant stories.
