Reserve Bank of New Zealand is seeking a Data Product Lead on a fixed-term basis until June 2027 to enhance and support data products sourced from NZ banks and insurers.
You will lead the development of Loan Level and Insurance Data products, collaborate across the Bank, and deliver practical data solutions to support supervision, financial stability and policy decisions.

This is an opportunity to work with some of the Bank's most important data assets and help transform them into meaningful insights that support supervision, financial stability, policy and decision-making.
As Data Product Lead, you'll lead and coordinate the enhancement, support and ongoing development of the Bank's Loan Level Data and Insurance Data products as they transition into business-as-usual operation. This is a senior role with a strong delivery focus. We're looking for someone who can provide leadership and direction while also rolling up their sleeves and building solutions themselves. Working closely with stakeholders across the Bank, you'll help identify opportunities for improvement, prioritise enhancements, and develop products that make complex data accessible and useful for a wide range of users.

To succeed in this role, you'll be an experienced data professional who combines technical expertise with strong relationship management skills. You'll enjoy working collaboratively, navigating complex issues and translating data into practical solutions that deliver long-term value.
You’ll bring:
Strong understanding of data warehousing, modelling, analytics and reporting & data visualisation practices.
Sound judgement and the ability to think strategically across a broad range of issues.
Strong planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands.
