Job summary

Stats NZ | TataurangaAotearoa is seeking a Broker for a fixed-term role (until June 2028) to lead negotiations and manage data supply arrangements across government and the wider data ecosystem. The role focuses on ethical, secure, and efficient ingestion of admin data and building trusted relationships with data providers.

The successful candidate will drive onboarding, ongoing data supply, privacy and ethics compliance, and monitor legislative changes to support best practice.

• Ensure compliance and support providers to improve data quality and collection.
• Navigate evolving legislation to support best practice in data ingestion.
