Job summary

Stats NZ is seeking a Broker for a fixed-term role until June 2028 to lead negotiation and management of data supply arrangements. The role requires building trusted relationships across government and the data ecosystem to enable ethical, secure, and efficient ingestion of admin data.

The successful candidate will onboard data, manage ongoing supply, ensure privacy and ethics compliance, and adapt to regulatory changes, supporting high-quality data delivery for national insights.

• Lead data onboarding and ongoing data supply, applying privacy and ethics principles.
• Keep pace with legislative changes to support best practice.
