Job summary

Comspek International is seeking a Data Engineer to enhance its datasystems in Wellington, NZ. The role focuses on building data processes, ETL pipelines, and scalable data models within a collaborative team environment.

You’ll work on data marts, metadata, and warehouse architecture while coordinating with stakeholders to identify improvements and ensure code is under version control. Intermediate level candidates are welcome to grow into the role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a Data Engineering role.
• Proficient in T-SQL, ETL/ELT and Python.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau).
• Experience with Cloud environments like AWS; Azure/Google welcome.
• Familiar with Snowflake, DBT, Prefect (Airflow) and GitHub Actions.

Join our client's innovative team as a Data Engineer to enhance their datasystems.

What you'll be doing:

• Help design and develop data processes and ETL procedures.
• Work with design and extension of data marts, meta data, and data models.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure data warehouse architecture codes are maintained in a version control systems

You don't need to be ticking every single box above, this is amore of an intermediate levelrole (upper junior level welcome), the client is happy to bring people up to speed.

Skills and Experience:

• 4+ years in a Data Engineering type role
• T-SQL, ETL/ELT development, and Python scripting skills.
• Use data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau).
• Experience with Cloud environments like AWS (Azure or Google more than welcome).
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines.
• Experience with Snowflake, DBT, Prefect (Airflow), and Github Actions
