Job summary

CDC Data Centres in New Zealand seeks an Associate Service Technician 24/7 to support continuous operations across our Auckland facilities. This entry‑point role focuses on maintaining uptime, supporting customers, and coordinating with Service Technicians and contractors to execute maintenance tasks.

You will monitor critical infrastructure, operate electronic monitoring systems, respond to events swiftly, and ensure safety and adherence to CDC processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical environments such as telecommunications, fibre, fire systems, trades, IT or industrial facilities.
• Ability to identify risks and develop practical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Customers, Service Technicians and contractors during maintenance and support activities.
• Monitor critical infrastructure to ensure continuity of services and avoid disruptions.
• Use electronic monitoring systems to proactively oversee site conditions.
• Respond promptly to customer requests and critical events.
• Ensure activities are performed safely following CDC processes and procedures.
• Provide timely reporting of events and assist restoration to normal operations.
