Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Whangarei District, NZ is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for a full-time, on-site role supporting mission-critical infrastructure at premier data centers. You will perform hardware installations, migrations, cabling, server racking, and troubleshooting, documenting all work with photos and notes.

2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure is required; certifications such as CDCP/CDCS or CCNA/Network+ are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Professional communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
