Job summary

ZURU is seeking a Data & AI Engineer to own data pipelines powering global operations. You’ll design end-to-end production systems using Databricks, dbt, Fivetran and AWS, shaping how data informs business decisions across marketing, logistics and commercial teams.

You’ll build reliable data products, improve data quality, and ensure platforms are safe and scalable while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. This role centers data-driven decision making at ZURU.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building and running data pipelines in production.
• Advanced SQL with performance tuning on large datasets.
• Strong Python for pipelines, automation and testing with version control.
• Hands-on with dbt and cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift).
• Proven orchestration experience and production debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and own production data pipelines ingesting from SAP, retail POS and logistics.
• Lead migrations of legacy pipelines into modern, scalable architectures with cutover plans.
• Model data for analytics and AI use cases with established standards.
• Build observability, testing and alerting into pipelines to surface issues early.
• Improve platform infrastructure and tooling; reduce operational toil via automation.
• Collaborate with commercial, marketing and logistics stakeholders to define datasets.
• Review peers' work and mentor engineers on SQL, Python and pipeline design.
• Contribute to governance, docs and AI-assisted workflows across the team.
