Job summary

EROAD is seeking a Data & AI Consultant in Auckland (Albany HQ) to blend data engineering with internal consulting. You’ll own Power BI standards and governance, and build dbt pipelines to ensure reliable analytics.

You’ll work with Snowflake and cloud data platforms, create AI agents on Cortex/CoWork, and coach business users on self-service analytics, turning needs into practical data solutions. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the business to translate requirements into scalable BI

Qualifications

• Experience developing Power BI reports and semantic models.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data platforms.
• Experience with Snowflake and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience building dbt models and transformation pipelines.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

As the business continues to invest in AI and analytics capability, we're hiring a Data & AI Consultant to help drive that work forward. **WHAT YOU'LL DO** This role blends hands-on data engineering with internal consulting, coaching business users while building the tools they rely on.* Own Power BI standards and governance across the business, shaping how reports, dashboards and semantic models are built* Build and maintain dbt transformation pipelines that keep data reliable and ready for use* Build AI agents on Snowflake Cortex and CoWork to support new automation and analytics use cases* Act as an internal evangelist for self-service analytics, coaching business users on tools and best practice* Partner with stakeholders across the business to translate their needs into practical data and AI solutions **WHAT YOU NEED** You'll bring a mix of analytics, data engineering and consulting skills, with room to grow into the AI side of the role. * Experience developing reports, dashboards and semantic models in Power BI, or experience with another leading BI tool (e.g. Looker, Tableau) with the aptitude to become the internal Power BI SME* Strong SQL skills and experience with modern cloud data platforms* Experience with Snowflake and data warehousing concepts, or another modern cloud data warehouse (e.g. BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse) alongside strong data warehousing and dbt experience* Experience building and maintaining dbt models and transformation pipelines* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences* Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting skills* Experience coaching users on analytics tools and best practice* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability **WHY JOIN** You'll get real ownership of Power BI standards and hands-on AI agent building, backed by a company that invests in its people. * Genuine scope to build AI agents and shape how the business adopts generative AI and automation, no prior Snowflake Cortex/CoWork/CoCo experience required* Be part of a high-growth, innovative technology company making a real difference at a global level* Work alongside a talented and collaborative team* Continuous learning support, EAP offerings and access to AI tooling to help you grow
