Job summary

Fonterra is seeking a Process Technologist for our Maungatūroto site in Northland. You will join a regional technical team providing specialist support across the manufacturing network to optimise plant performance.

You will work on process improvement, troubleshooting, product quality, and operational optimisation, collaborating with operations, engineering and production teams to deliver tangible value. The role requires a tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Engineering or related field

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing or dairy processing preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support across manufacturing sites.
• Diagnose and resolve process issues to maintain stable plant performance.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve quality, yield, productivity and cost.
• Support site, regional and national improvement projects.
• Participate in product trials and process development activities.

Education

Tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Engineering, Science or related discipline
