Job summary

ALS, a leading dairy analysis provider in Hamilton, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support the Dairy team on a 1-year parental leave cover. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, on-site.

You will prepare and dispatch samples, calibrate equipment, and uphold a clean, safe lab environment. The ideal candidate will have a science qualification or lab certificate, strong communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to quality, safety and client service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a laboratory certificate or qualification in science.
• Experience in a high-throughput lab environment preferred.
• Commitment to quality, safety and client service.

Responsibilities

• Weigh, prepare and extract dairy samples for analysis.
• Prepare calibration standards and reagents.
• Maintain quality and data integrity in the laboratory.
• Ensure client turnaround times are met and the lab operates safely.
