Job summary

DEFEND is hiring a Cybersecurity Operations Analyst in Auckland, NZ. You will monitor security events, investigate threats, and respond to incidents while delivering actionable insights and incident reports.

This role includes a 24/7 on-call rotation and collaboration with internal teams to strengthen client security. We value experience in threat detection, incident response, and threat intelligence, along with strong reporting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver security services by engaging, collaborating, and communicating with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor security events and alerts to identify potential threats.
• Perform security alert triage, investigation, and analysis to assess severity and impact.
• Escalate incidents as necessary and conduct threat scope analysis to determine exposure.
• Perform impact analysis, document findings, and correlate threat intelligence for actionable insights.
• Prepare, review, and summarise customer reports to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Respond to threats promptly, ensuring proper remediation processes are followed and recorded.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, ensuring rapid response and service delivery during critical incidents.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all security monitoring and incident response activities.
