Job summary

Delta Utility Services in Dunedin invites applications for a Customer Service Representative. This role is a full-time, permanent position acting as the primary contact for customers, field staff, and contractors.

You will coordinate metering work, schedule electricians and maintain records to meet SLAs and KPIs. The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification or relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage workloads while ensuring safety and data

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience.
  • Experience in customer service, utilities operations, scheduling, or a technical service environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage workloads to meet deadlines, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • Clear and effective communication, written and verbal.
  • Confident working with multiple stakeholders, including customers, field teams, and contractors.
  • Commitment to health and safety and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Calm, professional, and resilient when handling challenging situations.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary contact for Delta’s customers, clients, field staff and contractors.
  • Coordinate metering work, ensuring safety and timely delivery within SLAs and KPIs.
  • Schedule and brief electricians/contractors; maintain auditable records.
  • Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a positive customer experience.

As a Customer Service Representative (CSR), you will be the primary point of contact for Delta’s customers, clients, field staff, and contractors. This is a vital coordination role that ensures metering work is planned, delivered, and completed safely, accurately, and within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
CSRs interpret technical job requirements, schedule and brief electricians and contractors effectively to maintain accurate, auditable records.
Through clear communication, timely query resolution, and support for internal and external stakeholders, the CSR ensures positive customer experience while upholding Delta’s values and commitment to safety.

  • Experience in NZ electricity sector
  • Familiarity with Safety Regulations and NZECPs and audit exposure
  • At least 3 years' experience in a service desk support role.
