Overview

You will join our knowledgeable and experienced service team in Christchurch and be supported by great training and shared expertise across the business. This diverse role is all about exceptional customer care and will see you ensuring all breakdown and maintenance calls regarding our fleet of forklifts are logged quickly and accurately. Based in Wigram in Christchurch, you will be assisting our service teams across the South Island and will be the first port of call for customer enquiries at Crown NZ, establishing a rapport, attending to their queries and providing them with an unparalleled service experience as you schedule their maintenance & repairs and ensure that our technicians out in the field are in the right place at the right time. You will work across multiple platforms, managing both a shared inbox and phone system, responding to customer enquiries and completing daily run schedules for our Field Service Technicians. As part of the Call Centre team, you will also assist in the other regions, for instance helping to cover leave. You will work closely and collaboratively with our Service and operations teams around the regions. This is a permanent role, Mondays to Fridays.

Responsibilities
  • Log breakdown and maintenance calls quickly and accurately for the fleet of forklifts.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries, establishing rapport and delivering an exceptional service experience.
  • Schedule maintenance and repairs and coordinate with field technicians to ensure they are in the right place at the right time.
  • Manage multiple platforms, including a shared inbox and phone system, and prepare daily run schedules for Field Service Technicians.
  • Support other regions and cover leave as needed as part of the Call Centre team.
  • Collaborate closely with Service and Operations teams across regions.
Requirements / About you
  • Energetic and enthusiastic with a strong customer-centric & solutions-focused attitude and outstanding communication skills.
  • Background in service dispatching or a contact centre is ideal; experience in a high-performing environment is preferred.
  • Strong organisational, planning, data entry, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • IT savvy with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to combine enthusiasm and professionalism with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experience.
  • Automotive or mechanical industry knowledge is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn and training will be provided.
