Job summary

NZMA Hamilton Campus is seeking a Culinary Tutor to deliver our Level 4 Cookery programme and support students on their journey to becoming culinary professionals.

You will draw on your industry experience to create an engaging learning environment, mentor learners, and help them develop practical skills, confidence and professionalism for internships and future employment in the culinary industry.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ recent experience within the cookery or culinary industry.
• Relevant tertiary qualification at Level 5 or above.
• Strong practical cooking skills and broad culinary industry knowledge.
• Experience across food, beverage and hospitality environments.
• Ability to engage, encourage and support students from diverse backgrounds.
• A positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to learning and development.
• Genuine passion for sharing industry knowledge and helping aspiring chefs succeed.

Responsibilities

• Bring 5+ years’ recent cookery/culinary industry experience.
