The opportunity

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Cost Planner/Estimator to join our team.

This role will see you working collaboratively within the Group Preconstruction Team, supporting our regional teams, to contribute to the Naylor Love strategic plan for Design and Construct projects, with a view to sustaining and developing our brand nationally as the leading Design and Construct Contractor in New Zealand.

Without doubt you will hold excellent communication skills and understand the overall construction process and costs, with extensive experience in a wide range of vertical commercial construction projects.

This position is ideally suited to an experienced cost planner/estimator with an analytical focus and who is looking to advance their career in a position that offers the opportunity to participate in the successful growth of our Design and Construct portfolio.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have the following attributes:

  • Previous estimating experience and a background in Quantity Surveying including pre-construction services
  • Have at least five years' experience in commercial construction
  • Possess excellent negotiation skills and the talent to develop business relationships with new and existing clients
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with people at all levels
  • Be able to lead and develop comprehensive and accurate Costs Plans, from an early design stage
  • As a person you will be a team player, who takes personal ownership and responsibility for your results
