Job summary

ACCIONA CONSTRUCTION NEW ZEALAND LTD – Auckland, North Island is seeking a Cost Controller to monitor, analyse and control costs on New Zealand’s major transport infrastructure project. The role reports to the Finance Manager and collaborates with the delivery team on schedule tracking, forecasting, risk management and procurement processes.

The successful candidate will bring strong accounting or finance qualifications, experience in cost control and project accounting, and high proficiency in

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in accounting, finance, quantity surveying or related field.
• Experience in cost control, project controls or project accounting.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP and project cost management systems.

Responsibilities

• Track critical path milestones and support schedule reporting.
• Monitor cost codes, budgets and monthly forecast variances.
• Review daily production and productivity tracking data.
• Identify and document project risks and opportunities.
• Track change requests affecting project time and cost.
• Support procurement actions and subcontract deliverables.
• Maintain accurate records across cost management systems.
