Job summary

Case Manager at Northland Region Corrections Facility (NRCF) in Kaikohe, Northland. Permanent full-time role delivering end-to-end case management, including initial assessment, case planning, release preparations, and reporting to the New Zealand Parole Board.

You will collaborate with external agencies and families to support rehabilitation, exercise sound judgement within a correctional environment, and contribute to reducing re-offending.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge and experience in case management, rehabilitation and reintegration related disciplines and practices.
• The ability to operate safely and effectively within a correctional environment.
• Strong report writing and administration skills.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• The ability to take on feedback in a highly reflective environment.
• Highly developed relationship management and communication skills.
• An ability to motivate and support prisoners to make positive changes over the long-term.
• Knowledge of, and experience working with Maori and Pacific peoples, their families and communities.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end case management including initial assessment, case planning and release preparations.
• Write reports to the New Zealand Parole Board.
• Collaborate with external agencies and prisoners' families to support rehabilitation.
• Exercise sound professional judgement within a correctional environment.
• Ensure needs and services for the prisoner are identified and aligned with programs.
