Overview

We\'re partnering with a highly successful New Zealand company that has grown into a global leader. Operating across Australasia, Asia, Africa, North America, the UK, and Europe, this organisation develops innovative technology that protects high-security environments and supports critical industries worldwide.

They are now seeking an In-House Legal Counsel to join their Hamilton-based legal team. Reporting to the Global Compliance Lead, you\'ll work closely with the Legal & Risk team and collaborate with colleagues across the globe.

The Role

In this role, you will provide legal guidance across multiple jurisdictions and business areas. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on corporate governance and business structure requirements.
  • Supporting insurance programmes and policy renewals.
  • Providing advice on property-related matters in New Zealand and internationally.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including those with a technology and information security focus.
About You

You may currently be in private practice (corporate/commercial) or already working in-house and looking to broaden your scope. To succeed, you will bring:

  • A minimum of 4 years PQE.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver pragmatic, solutions-focused advice.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and confidence working across different jurisdictions.
