Westpac New Zealand Ltd is seeking a Corporate Governance Manager to support decision-making across the organisation, working with Boards, Committees and senior leaders to embed strong governance, transparency and accountability.
You’ll provide governance advice, oversee processes, coordinate meetings and papers, track actions, prepare insights and drive continuous improvement. This role transforms governance into a proactive, value-adding function across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Corporate Governance team and play a key role in supporting effective decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with Boards, Committees and senior leaders, you'll help ensure strong governance practices, transparency and accountability are embedded in everything we do. As our Corporate Governance Manager, you'll provide trusted governance advice, oversee key governance processes and help leaders meet their governance obligations with confidence. You'll also help drive continuous improvement, modernising governance practices and enhancing the quality, efficiency and impact of governance across the business. This role goes beyond traditional governance administration. You'll be part of a team transforming Corporate Governance into a proactive, insight-led function that delivers strategic value and supports Westpac's future success. Working closely with Company Secretaries to support Boards and Committees, helping ensure governance activities run smoothly from end to end. Coordinating meetings, board papers, governance systems and key governance processes across Westpac New Zealand. Tracking actions, decisions and commitments to help keep priorities moving and ensure accountability. Preparing governance reporting and insights that help leaders make informed decisions. Finding smarter, simpler ways of working by improving governance processes, tools and systems. Supporting a culture of strong governance, continuous improvement and high performance. Keeping governance records, registers and entity information accurate, up to date and easy to access. Ensuring important governance information is managed effectively and maintained to a high standard. Supporting organisational changes and ensuring governance information keeps pace with business needs. Coordinating regulatory filings, compliance activities and external reporting requirements.
