Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Account Manager across the Auckland/Waikato regions.

The primary objectives for the Corporate Account Manager are to grow FMG’s share of the Corporate Agri Commercial Market with new clients as well as maintaining and growing an existing Corporate Account portfolio.

About the role:

Due to an internal promotion, FMG are looking for an experienced and driven Corporate Account Manager who will work across the Auckland and Waikato regions.

Work with a high performing team who has a defined corporate strategy, and a road map of how we plan to achieve it.

This is a unique opportunity to work with some of the most innovative and complex businesses in New Zealand’s farming and growing sector. Some of the key accountabilities of this role include:

  • Provide an exceptional service to a well established commercial book of clients who are located across the Auckland and Waikato regions both during and outside of their renewal driving world class NPS.
  • Achieve growth in the portfolio through the organic growth of existing clients as well as developing a pipeline and acquiring new clients.
  • Collaborate with different business units across FMG to achieve exceptional client outcomes. These teams include our Corporate Account Associates, Underwriters, Business Support, and Claims to name a few.
  • Actively seek and engage in professional development opportunities and adhere to regulation and compliance requirements.
The successful candidate ideally will have:
  • 5+ years of commercial insurance experience and a demonstrated ability to add value through understanding our client’s business and risk appetites
  • Proven technical and market knowledge of the local insurance landscape and experience in structuring and placing large complex insurance programmes
  • Strong oral (in person and presenting) and written (reports) communication skills
  • A track record of developing, maintaining, and leveraging relationships with a variety of large and complex business operations
  • Ability to identify new and existing business opportunities that support portfolio growth, profitability, and retention.
  • A New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services Level 5.
  • The ability to travel across the Waikato & Auckland regions for client visits, as well as occasional interregional travel.
