Job summary

Probe Group's Convai Software Engineer role seeks a seasoned technologist to lead features from design through deployment in a dynamic Auckland team. You will drive software testing insights, collaborate cross-functionally and translate complex concepts for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

The role is hybrid, based in Ellerslie, NZ, with occasional in-office meetings and strong emphasis on delivering reliable, scalable AI-driven conversational products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a similar discipline.
• 5+ years in a software testing or software development role.
• In-depth knowledge of the application lifecycle and strong communication skills.
• Ability to convey technical concepts to internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for assigned features and directions.
