n Contract Tech Lead (Java, AWS)

• One of the leading IT services & Consulting organisation where contractors are also treated like part of the family with a history of long tenures with multiple extensions
• Work on complex, interesting, award-winning and market-leading projects
• Utilities domain
• Contract role with initial 6months with a possibility of extension
• Hourly rate: 100$ to 130$
• Auckland based
• Minimum 3days from office/New Market
• Immediate joining

The role:

Due to recent growth in our client’s capabilities in certain verticals, we are currently in need of one Lead Full Stack Engineering contracts.

We seek passionate engineers with an excellent understanding of full stack development design patterns, and experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver commercial software projects.

We are seeking applicants who are available to start as soon as possible.

This team has established rituals, mixed style of pairing & independent work. They highly value collaboration, with contractors expected to act as integral team members and potentially support other projects in the domain as well apart from their core project.

The ideal candidate:

• Ideally Lead developers/Senior Contract developers (with minimum 10yrs of experience) with below mentioned skillsets:

Senior/Tech Lead Engineer level with expertise in

– Java (important)

– AWS (important)

– Serverless (important)

– Terraform (important)

– SNS/SQS Lambda (highly preferred)

– As a LEAD, should be able to guide/coach/mentor/support other team members. Minimum 2 years of leadership experience (high preferred) compared to just mentorship.

– DevOps / CICD tools (nice to have)

– Hands on in coding and experience of working with complex projects for blue chip brands. (preferred)

Other good to have skills:

– Work collaboratively with teams and other stakeholders

– Communication skills (clear comms with team, stakeholders)

– Documentation
