Job summary

Heli Parts Network seeks experienced Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Contractors for Salus Aviation at sites worldwide. Initial 3 months of paid training in Auckland, New Zealand, then on-site day rates apply. Must be NZCAA/SACAA licensed with 3+ years post-qualification experience and ratings to release AS350s and BK117s.

Role requires independent work, strong attention to detail, and travel readiness. Competitive daily USD rates, with travel packages and accommodation arranged per trip.

Qualifications

  • Must be an experienced Licensed Aviation Mechanical Engineer (NZCAA/SACAA) with at least 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Ratings to release to service on AS350s and BK117s.
  • Willingness to travel overseas and start with up to 3 months of training in Auckland.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance of customer helicopters per Salus engineering procedures.
  • Identify, document and resolve helicopter defects to ensure airworthiness and serviceability.
  • Document and maintain maintenance records for audit trails and compliance.
  • Prepare paperwork to certify work performed and ensure business processes are followed.
  • Interpret relevant aircraft publications, drawings and manuals correctly.

Job Summary

The role

We are looking for experienced Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Contractors to contract for Salus Aviation at our customer sites around the world, predominantly Africa, South Africa and South America. We need someone to work on site confidently and independently who is able to apply their engineering skills, experience and knowledge to the role and who takes pride in producing quality workmanship. This role will have up to 3 months paid training in Auckland, New Zealand learning our way of working and once on customer site a day rate will apply.

Daily you will:

  • Conduct routine maintenance of the customers helicopters in line with Salus engineering procedures.
  • Identify, Document and resolve (as required) helicopter defects, to ensure when released to service they are safe, airworthy and in accordance with requirements.
  • Document, process and maintain all maintenance documentation to ensure business processes are adhered to and an accurate audit trail is maintained.
  • Maintain appropriate paperwork required to certify all work carried out and to ensure general business processes are completed.
  • Understand all relevant aircraft publications, company documentation, drawings and blueprints to ensure that information is interpreted correctly.

Requirements

Ideally you will have/be:

  • Must be an experienced Licensed Aviation Mechanical Engineer (NZCAA/SACAA with at least 3 years working experience post qualification) with ratings to release to service on AS350’s and BK117’s
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Efficient and well organised
