Job description

Cook Brothers Hospitality has been creating memorable experiences since 2004. From rooftop bars to neighbourhood pubs, gourmet burgers to premium restaurants, we’ve grown to 9 venues across Auckland, Dunedin, Queenstown, and Christchurch.

We don’t just pour drinks and serve plates. We run events that bring thousands together, keep our brands fresh with new menus and activations, and reach over 200,000 people on social media every week. That’s where you come in.

The Role

We’re looking for a Content Creator who’s passionate about telling stories through video, photography, and design. Someone who loves being in the thick of it, capturing the energy of a busy bar, the details of a new dish, or the vibe of a packed rooftop, and turning that into thumb-stopping content that gets people talking.

You’ll work closely with the Marketing Director and venue teams, moving fast to bring campaigns and activations to life, from menu launches to bottomless brunches, DJ nights, and everything in between.

This isn’t a desk job punching out Canva tiles. This is about creating fresh, authentic, elevated content that builds our brands and gets us noticed.

Responsibilities
  • Plan content calendars and keep the pipeline fresh
  • Capture and edit high-quality photo and video content in-venue
  • Select imagery and edit for posting across multiple platforms
  • Generate and edit reels and short-form video content
  • Write engaging captions and email content that builds connection
  • Research inspiration and trends to keep our content sharp
  • Brief and run photoshoots where needed
  • Support activations from idea through to market
  • Gather feedback and continuously improve our content output
  • Ensure each venue’s unique personality shines consistently online
Requirements
  • An experienced content creator with a proven track record in hospitality - you know the industry and how to capture its vibe
  • Strong social media savvy, you know what makes people stop scrolling
  • Fast and agile, comfortable creating, editing, and posting on quick turnaround
  • A people-person who loves hospitality and feels at home in bars, pubs, and restaurants
  • Creative thinker with a sharp eye for detail (graphic design skills a plus)
  • Someone who’s driven to build brands, not just post content
