Become an integral leader of the high-performing Finance, Economics, and Analytics team in Consulting who work closely to navigate complex cases, collaboratively deliver impactful solutions, and celebrate success along the way.

Our team in Pōneke/Wellington, leverage economic principles and commercial insights to tackle complex technical challenges across various industries.

Projects include developing financial models, business cases, and feasibility studies, as well as conducting valuations and exploring strategic options for our clients. Financial modeling is a core strategic capability within the FEA team, essential to our offerings across the broader Consulting practice, wider firm and for our clients.

About the Role

As an Associate Director in the Consulting business unit, your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging regularly with clients to assess needs and provide innovative solutions, using industry expertise and honed financial modelling skills to create impactful service offerings.
  • Driving business development by leveraging market presence, forging robust relationships, and adopting best practices.
  • Presenting strategic insights to demonstrate client value and identify opportunities for expanded services.
  • Managing engagement economics and facilitating cross-functional collaborations.
  • Aligning teams with clear goals to ensure deliverables are completed efficiently and documented accurately.
  • Upholding PwC Values, Code of Conduct, and professional standards.
  • Pursuing personal growth through ongoing learning and active development planning in line with leadership.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Finance, Economics, and Analytics Consulting, with a strong track record of steering complex projects to successful outcomes.
  • Expertise in financial modelling, guiding teams in best practices to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Degree in finance, economics, or related field; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
  • Possess a highly analytical mindset with advanced problem-solving abilities and strategic insight, combined with a desire to understand client businesses to drive sustainable decisions.
  • High standards in written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.
