Providing healthcare to a population of 50,000, Tairāwhiti is well supported locally by comprehensive medical and surgical services and has a full range of diagnostic facilities on site including a new MRI scanner and CT scanner.The department provides general, acute and elective care with current sub-specialty interests including Hip and Knee Arthroplasty, Paediatrics and Sports Surgery. We are looking for a colleague to join the team with a sub specialist interest that would compliment and help build the department and services offered.**About you** To be part of our team, you will possess the following:* Applicants must either be vocationally registered or be eligible for vocational or temporary registration as provided by the Medical Council of New Zealand. Preference will be given to applicants who hold a current vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).* Demonstrated clinical expertise in management of a variety of orthopaedic conditions* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop partnerships and work collaboratively within a team Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
