Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher Technology

Whakatāne High School is a co-educational town in the sunny Eastern Bay of Plenty with approximately 1,200 students.

Applications are invited for the full-time fixed-term construction tutor to run our Mahi Whakamana programme. This programme is a full-time trades programme delivered onsite at our school. Students are Trades Academy students who have committed to a 3 or 5 day construction programme. They will be building a two bedroom house on our school site. The right person will be a trades certified builder and hold a current LBP.

The right person will also be highly relational, culturally responsive and have a passion for creating the next generation of trades people!

Position commences 27 January 2026.
