Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Computer Vision Engineer to join a forward‑looking technology team in Queenstown, NZ. You will design, implement, and optimize CV algorithms for real‑world applications, leveraging OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch across image and video analysis tasks.

You will work with large datasets, state‑of‑the‑art models, and collaborate with engineers to deploy CV systems on diverse platforms, while staying current with the latest deep learning advancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS/EE or related field.
• Proven computer vision development experience with a strong project portfolio.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python with OpenCV, scikit-image, etc.
• Experience with cloud platforms and GPUs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize computer vision algorithms and models for real-world applications.
• Implement and integrate CV solutions using OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Process and analyze large image and video datasets for training and validation.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to deploy CV systems across platforms.
