Job summary

Rocket Lab, a leading space company, is seeking a hands-on Composite Technician on the evening shift to build and assemble parts of the Electron rocket. You will work with pressure tanks, structural assemblies, and heat shields, applying prepregs and laminates while maintaining high quality and meeting production timelines.

Ideal candidates have trade qualifications or 2+ years of relevant experience, and are proficient with lamination processes, tooling prepregs, and interpreting manufacturing

Qualifications

• Trade qualified in relevant industry or must be able to demonstrate 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Precision lamination skills for prepregs and tooling prepregs.
• Knowledge of bagging for oven and autoclave cures.
• Interpret laminate and assembly drawings to ensure product quality.
• Previous experience with multi-layer insulation (MLI) and heat-shield materials.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble Electron rocket components as part of the Production team.
• Work hands-on with tools and equipment to meet production schedules.
• Adhere to Rocket Lab's high quality standards and schedule demands.
• Contribute to overall production and launch schedule with reliable workmanship.
