About the role:

We are looking for detail oriented and experienced compliance officer to join our team at Ellerslie office. You will be responsible for monitoring compliance risks, implementing controls, and advising management on compliance matters. This will be an individual contributor role.

Role responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and monitor compliance policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations and maintain accurate records of compliance activity and incidents
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required
  • Developing and Implementing Compliance Programs
  • Conduct ongoing compliance reviews and assess the effectiveness of internal controls
  • Monitoring and Auditing
  • Communicating with Stakeholders
  • Expertise in AML / CFT and/or Privacy Act compliance is highly desirable
  • Organized and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Ability to multi-task, prioritize workloads and manage timescales. Ability to meet tight deadlines.

Experience/ Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in compliance role.
  • Experience in payments industry is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
