Job summary

Enatel in Christchurch is seeking a Compliance Engineer to join our engineering team on a 14-month fixed-term basis. The role involves working across the product development lifecycle to ensure our power electronic products meet national and international regulatory requirements.

You will develop and maintain compliance procedures, plan verification/validation activities, and collaborate with engineers, regulators, labs, suppliers and customers to achieve compliant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of national and international regulatory standards and product compliance requirements such as UL, RCM, CE and FCC.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Confidence working independently while building effective stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain compliance procedures across Enatel's product range.
• Plan and complete product compliance, verification and validation activities.
• Ensure products meet market-specific regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Identify compliance risks and contribute to practical solutions throughout the development lifecycle.
• Conduct pre-compliance testings to identify and address issues before testing by compliance labs.
• Work with regulatory bodies, laboratories, suppliers and customers to achieve compliance outcomes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance, testing and quality processes.
• Support the ongoing development and enhancement of existing Enatel products.
