Archer Villages & Care Homes (Canterbury, Christchurch) is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff. The role covers 20 hours per week, 4 hours daily over 5 days, with at least one weekend day required.

You will follow infection control and health & safety procedures, manage cleaning equipment and supplies, and contribute to a supportive atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, or aged care experience is preferred but not essential.
• Full training will be provided for the right person.

Responsabilités

• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility
• Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and staff spaces
• Following infection control and health & safety procedures
• Managing cleaning equipment and supplies responsibly
• Reporting maintenance issues and hazards
• Supporting a positive, welcoming atmosphere for residents, families, and visitors
