Our name, Tāwharau Ora, reflects our mission to be a place of wellbeing, healing, and recovery for both people and animals. Massey University's Veterinary Science program is highly ranked globally, placing first in Australasia and 19th worldwide in 2024. We are seeking Specialists or Senior Clinicians in the areas of companion animal internal medicine and companion animal surgery.
At Massey, our surgeons enjoy CAD and 3-D printing, Karl Storz 5mm laparoscopy and thoracoscopy, Philips fluoroscopic C-arm and radiographic DR systems, in-house 16 slice computed tomography, and out-sourced magnetic resonance imaging at a local medical facility. Other equipment includes interventional radiology tools, Ligasure vessel-sealing devices, AO/ASIF/Synthes plating systems, CRF, ImexESF, and Biomedrix CFX total hip replacement system.
Our facilities include flexible and rigid endoscopy, digital radiology, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and in-house CT. MRI examinations are conducted at a nearby human imaging practice. The Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) maintains a full suite of diagnostic laboratory equipment and shares a building with IDEXX, a privately owned full-service diagnostic laboratory.
