We currently have an exciting opportunity to join Ara Poutama Aotearoa/The Department of Corrections as a Community Work Supervisor at our West Coast Community Corrections Sites.
We are all about changing lives and creating pathways through meaningful Community Work projects. As a Community Work Supervisor, you will oversee and manage people serving community work sentences while they work on meaningful projects at schools, reserves, community groups, marae, and churches - whatever the community needs.
Our Community Work Supervisors are responsible for the supervision of work parties, planning and organising projects, the development of work skills through pro-social modelling and coaching, ensuring records are accurate and complete, reviewing health and safety requirements, and ensuring the smooth operation of the community work centre.

This is a part-time, permanent position within our Canterbury team, with the possibility of working 1-4 days per week. Saturday work is essential.
Community Work Supervisors come from a variety of backgrounds; from trades and farming to office jobs, retail, teaching and social agencies - so your experience could be just what we are looking for. The salary range for the role is $62, 908 (pro rata) - $66, 887 (pro rata) per annum.Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
