Job summary

Geneva Wellbeing in the Gisborne region is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver high‑quality, community‑based rehabilitation. You will assess clients, develop personalised plans and support recovery, independence and meaningful living within whānau.

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand Registered Nurse Annual Practising Certificate (APC) is required.
• Minimum of two years’ nursing experience, ideally in rehabilitation, community, neurological, disability or complex care settings.
• Experience with clients who have Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and/or Spinal Cord Injury (SCI).
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to develop and evaluate individualised rehabilitation plans.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams with funders, support workers, clients and whānau.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop personalised rehabilitation plans.
• Deliver community-based nursing care for clients with complex rehabilitation needs (TBI/SCI).
• Collaborate with clients, whānau, allied health professionals, GPs and funders to coordinate services.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to support workers and colleagues.
• Monitor progress, review goals, and adapt care plans to maximise outcomes.
• Promote self-management, community participation and quality of life.
• Identify and manage clinical risks and make timely decisions.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation, assessments and reports.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and contribute to a collaborative approach.
