Job summary

IHC New Zealand is seeking an IHC Community Liaison in Matamata to create meaningful opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities. You will coordinate inclusive initiatives, recruit and train volunteers, and build local partnerships to strengthen community connections and belonging.

The role emphasises relationship building, volunteering, and delivering activities that help people develop skills, confidence and friendships.

Qualifications

• Experience managing people and supervising volunteers.
• Passion for inclusion, community connection and helping people participate.
• Strong understanding of volunteering, community engagement and inclusive practice.
• Ability to train and support volunteers.
